Nominate an Opportunity for Hope
Hope Delivered Nomination Guidelines
Hope Delivered exists to inspire and deliver hope to individuals and families walking through difficult, unexpected, or meaningful seasons, one intentional act of kindness at a time.
Hope isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither is Hope Delivered. Every story is different. These guidelines help us determine where Hope Valley can meaningfully step in while giving our team the flexibility to respond to the person and story in front of us.
Who Can Be Nominated?
Anyone may submit a nomination, including a nomination for yourself or someone in your own household. Sometimes asking for a little hope takes courage, too.
Hope Delivered is circumstance-based rather than income-based. Nominations may include individuals or families navigating:
- Illness and medical diagnosis, grief, or loss
- A difficult or unexpected season
- Disabilities or learning differences
- Caregiving
- Military deployment or extended separation
- A particularly difficult season surrounding a holiday
- A significant life transition
- Other circumstances where an intentional act of kindness could offer hope, encouragement, comfort, or joy
What Hope Delivered Does Not Accept
Hope Delivered is not a financial or emergency assistance program. We do not accept nominations requesting:
- Rent or mortgage payments
- Utility payments
- Medical bills
- Debt repayment
- Cash assistance
- Gift cards or gift-card requests
- Donations or contributions to GoFundMe or other personal fundraising/crowdfunding accounts.
- Ongoing financial assistance
What Can I Request?
Tell us the story first. Then, you're welcome to share what you believe would be especially meaningful to the person you're nominating.
A Hope Delivered blessing may include a personalized Hope Delivered Blessing Box, thoughtfully selected items, support toward an experience or opportunity, or another tangible act of kindness that aligns with Hope Valley's mission.
Specific requests are welcome, but the final form of each Hope Delivered blessing is determined by Hope Valley based on the story, circumstances, available resources, and our ability to serve.
Sometimes we may even discover another way to deliver hope that wasn't part of the original request.
How Are Nominations Selected?
Every nomination is considered individually. Submitting a nomination does not guarantee selection or fulfillment.
There are no designated nomination periods or application deadlines. Nominations may be submitted throughout the year and are reviewed as staff capacity allows.
Nominations are not monitored in real time, and Hope Delivered should not be used for emergency or time-sensitive assistance.
The timing and scope of a Hope Delivered blessing depend upon staff availability, available resources, the circumstances shared, and Hope Valley's ability to respond.
Someone who has previously received Hope Delivered may be nominated again. Hope Valley will determine whether an additional blessing is appropriate and feasible based on the circumstances and resources available at that time.
Surprises, Stories & Privacy
Yes, a Hope Delivered blessing can be a surprise! You do not need the nominee's permission before telling us their story or submitting a nomination.
By submitting a nomination, you understand that Hope Valley may use information from the story, when appropriate, to help gather community support, invite others to participate in delivering hope, or share the impact of our mission. When permission from the nominee is appropriate or necessary before publicly identifying them or sharing personal details, Hope Valley may seek additional consent.
Please share information thoughtfully and only provide details that are relevant to helping us understand the person's story and how we might best deliver hope.
Sometimes, Hope Finds the Need
A nomination is not required for Hope Valley to act.
Sometimes our team sees a need in the community and chooses to respond. Other times, a nomination introduces us to a story and, as we learn more, we discover an additional or different opportunity to bring hope.br>
Hope Valley reserves the flexibility to determine how, when, and where we can respond within our mission and available resources.br>
See a need. Deliver hope.
Sharing Stories of Hope
Sharing Stories of Hope
Helping Others through Personal Experiences is at the heart of Hope Valley's mission.
From time to time, Hope Valley may share stories of hope, encouragement, and impact through photographs, testimonials, videos, or written stories that inspire others and demonstrate the difference a caring community can make.
Whenever possible, these stories are shared with dignity, respect, and compassion—celebrating hope rather than hardship. Additional media releases or permissions may be requested when appropriate.
Ready to Submit a Nomination?
Our role is simply to create opportunities for hope. If you believe someone could benefit from one of Hope Valley’s programs, we invite you to submit the nomination form that best fits the opportunity.
Because Hope Valley seeks to be a faithful steward of every donation entrusted to our mission, additional information or verification may be requested during the review process.
