Many Hope Valley programs begin with a simple nomination.
Whether submitted by a family member, caregiver, friend, community member, first responder, or partner organization, nominations help us identify meaningful opportunities where hope, encouragement, and compassion can make a difference.
Because resources are limited and requests often exceed available funding, each nomination is thoughtfully reviewed to ensure it aligns with Hope Valley’s mission, program guidelines, and available resources.
We encourage you to review the information below before selecting the nomination form that best fits your request.
Before You Submit a Nomination
Hope Valley generally considers requests that:
- Align with one of Hope Valley's active programs.
- Address a specific, one-time need or meaningful opportunity.
- Create opportunities for hope, encouragement, belonging, connection, or improved quality of life.
- Support individuals and families residing primarily within Central Ohio, with priority given to Licking County residents.
- Can be fulfilled through Hope Valley's mission-driven programs and available resources.
What Hope Valley Does Not Provide
Hope Valley is not an emergency assistance organization and generally does not provide:
- Rent or mortgage assistance
- Utility assistance
- Cash assistance
- Debt repayment
- Medical bill assistance
- Insurance premium assistance
- Ongoing financial assistance
- Long-term financial commitments
- Case management services
- Crisis intervention services
How Nominations Are Reviewed
Every nomination is reviewed individually with prayerful consideration and thoughtful discernment.
Submission of a nomination does not guarantee approval or assistance.
When reviewing requests, Hope Valley considers:
- Alignment with the mission and intent of the program
- The potential impact on the individual, family, or community
- Available resources
- The opportunity to inspire hope, encouragement, or connection
- The long-term sustainability of the request
Sharing Stories of Hope
Helping Others through Personal Experiences is at the heart of Hope Valley's mission.
From time to time, Hope Valley may share stories of hope, encouragement, and impact through photographs, testimonials, videos, or written stories that inspire others and demonstrate the difference a caring community can make.
Whenever possible, these stories are shared with dignity, respect, and compassion—celebrating hope rather than hardship. Additional media releases or permissions may be requested when appropriate.
